Internship and Co-Op Career Employer Information Event
The Mount Ida Campus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst provides a Boston-area center for student experiential learning opportunities and industry collaboration. The campus offers students a base in the Newton and Needham area from which to pursue internships and cooperative education positions (co-ops) important to their career preparation.
On Tuesday February 5th, 2019, the University of Massachusetts Amherst will hold a Career Information Event on the Mount Ida Campus for employers to learn about process of recruiting interns or co-op students from UMass Amherst. After a short general presentation, employers will be able meet directly with career directors from individual schools and colleges (various academic areas) to discuss how best to match internships, co-ops or post graduate opportunities in their company with interested students in specific academic majors or programs of study.
UMass Amherst Career Directors and academic representatives from all of the UMass Amherst academic areas will be at this event including College of Engineering, College of Information and Computer Sciences, College of Natural Sciences, Isenberg School of Management, School of Public Health & Health Sciences, College of Nursing, College of Education, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, College of Humanities and Fine Arts as well as representatives from the University’s Central Career Services office.
