Description
Is your website ADA compliant?
The US Department of Justice has begun aggressively and actively enforcing accessibility requirements contained within Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), including ensuring that websites conform to specific criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Several recent settlement agreements with financial services providers, health organizations, and retailers indicate need to be compliant with these requirements. If you are doing business with the public and have an online presence through your website, this workshop will help you understand what needs to be done and the tools that are available to make sure your website is accessible to all consumers, regardless of their physical, cognitive, or developmental challenges.
At this workshop Bruce Howell of The Carroll Center for the Blind’s Accessibility Services team will demonstrate some of the assistive technology that individuals with disabilities use to access the internet, explain what WCAG means to you.
